The track brings together researchers working across these boundaries. We view the city as a system in which spatial solutions, technologies, and management practices are inseparable from one another — and we are convinced that academic knowledge and the practice of territorial development should be connected. Both theoretical and applied papers are accepted, in Russian and English. The track is open to researchers at any level — from students to experienced scholars.
Smart City: From Concept to Implementation
Urban Environment and Quality of Life
Governance of Territorial Development
Urban Mobility and Infrastructure
Data and Digital Solutions for Cities
Place Identity and Branding
Citizen Engagement and Participatory Design
Sustainability and ESG at the Territorial Level
Cities are studied by economists, sociologists, architects, data specialists, and management scholars — yet most often within the confines of a single discipline. Meanwhile, the most compelling questions of urban development lie at their intersection: How is data transforming managerial decision-making? How can we design urban environments based on how people actually behave, rather than on regulatory standards? Where do the possibilities of digitalization end, and where does the work with institutions, communities, and identity begin?
